Alla Verra walked into the sheltered forest. She slowly looked around for movement. She heard something big come from behind her. She turned and sniffed the air.
Deer. To big for me at this moment. I'll get you later. She then stood and walked a little ways. She heard a small movement coming from under a bush. She lay low to the ground. Until then, she hadn't noticed the black and white stripes.
She then stood up in disgust and walked away. She then saw a blur of white. She watched the little fluff of fur prance around a bush. It stopped in full view, looking the opposite direction of her.
It was a male rabbit. She felt a breeze come towards her face. She was down wind of the little creature, so it could not smell her. She then got into a crouch. She crawled towards the rabbit. She was careful not to make a sound.
The thing didn't notice her till it was too late. It tried to scramble away, but she already had her teeth in it. I bled out quickly, draining away its life. When it finally stopped squirming, she set it down. She then lay down and began to eat. When all that was left was bones and some fur, she stood. She tilted her nose to the air and took in a deep breath.
She scented the presence of a wolf, long past. She listened carefully, but heard no sounds. She then lay back down and fell asleep on a full stomach.

It had been a long a weary trip around the moor, but Sari could see its potential, the promise it held for a pack of her own. There were plenty of deer to hunt and an abundance of rabbits, something she favoured dearly as a quick way to build her energy. On a rare occasion she could bring down a deer, a very rare occasion indeed. More often that not they would shake her off, before she managed to get a fatal grip on their neck.
In fact, now that she thought on it, she had brought down but one deer on her own. It was young and inexperienced, only just having passed out of fawnhood. It had been all but to easy to take it down and grab it's neck between her powerful jaws, crushing it's windpipe.
As she wandered into the protection of the woods, the suns rays only just reaching through the thick canopy made the leafy ground dappled. She padded further into the forest, searching for a sheltered place, close enough to the edge so that she could see the faint glow of the moor through the trees, but far enough in that she could rest undisturbed.
She padded into the forset, please by the ever so faint smell of fresh shoots, rotting leaves and new blooms. She would never appericate the beauty of the flowers, but the sweet tangy in the air reminded her of an old home, an old pack, a memory long since burried in her mind. Suddenly her mind tore away from her thoughts, her eyes hardly daring to believe the sight before her. There in a protected part of the woods, though apparently, not protected enough, lay a lone fae, her light brown fur, silky and shining in the dappeled light. She growled, a low sound in her throat. Yes, she had meant to start her own pack, but finding another wolf this soon shocked her.
Sari had expected to wait many cool nights before picking up another wolfs scent. In her mind, she had expected to come across a loner, hunting game on the moor, but a femme, now, here, before Sari had had the chance to fully scout out the land.
Sari let her growl die in her throat, atleast hunger wouldn't make this wolf act irrationally, if the recently blood stained claws and snout were anything to go by.
Sari threw back her neck and howled out, it was barely loud enough to carry but a few feet away, but she sought only to wake this female.

Alla Verra awoke bitter. Her stomache was still full, not fully digested. She looked around to find the thing that awoke her. Her glinting orbs found that of witch she was searching. She let out a low growl at this wolf. She threw her head up, her fur wipping in the breeze.
She then scented this wolf. Feminin and girly. A fae, a lone fae. She smiled slightly at this fact. She the stood, and sondered towards this fae. Her fur swished as ehr bidy moved with every paw step.
She then stood in front of the fae. She smelled leadership and power. The alphess, no doubt. So, pritty little princess. Wheres your pack? Or do you not have one? she asked her.
She was pleased about the finding of her. Her eyes now once tinted with power, now tinted with opprotunity and joy.
Alla Verra smiled wider now. Power, all she could think was power. This was the perfect opprotunity to gain power. So, princess. You looking for a beta? I've been looking for a way to get some repect back. she pronounced.
She knew this wolfess would think she was planning to over throw her. She closed her eyes and shook her head in disagreement. She looked back up at her. Her orbs glinted in a small shoot of light coming through the trees. She looked terrinly innocent.
And, my dear alphess. I promise I intend not to over through you. I only wish to gain some power, is all. She nudged her alphess apreciently with her nose.

Sari was pleased with the way in which this lone wolf, now her beta, had accepted her as alphess without any questioning. Sari eyed the wolfess appreciatively, having a beta with a bold edge would provide a nice balance within her pack.
Yes, she inclined her head to the side, taking in the femme’s strong upper body and long legs. A good hunting partner as well, I am searching for a beta, and it seems I have found one in you.
Sari was unable to keep the joy and pleasure out of her cool blue eyes, even if this had been too soon, a companion on her exploration of this new land would greatly improve her resolve.
I would greatly appreciate it, she began softly, affection in her voice, if you would be my beta.

Alla Verra smiled. I am terribly grateful to your assumption. She smiled gently at her tone. She was pleased at her affection. She then heard a russling from behind. She sniffed the air.
Deer. It appeared to be the same one from before. Was the deer watching them? She looked around to get a view of the deer. It was a buck. A big one indeed. Its antlers were giant and tuff looking. She looked at her alphess.
Do you wish to hunt this deer with me? You may take the first attack if you wish. You will just have to watch its antlers. She then got into a low crouch.
She lay there, waiting for her to pronounce her decision. If she accepted the challenge, she would hunt. If not, she would still go after the beast, and attempt to take it down. If not able, she would then kill some rabbits and save them for later.

It had been a long time, almost to long of a time, since Sari had hunted such large game. Then again, she did not have any companions to help her take them down.
Grinning, Sari crouched down beside her beta. She would have to get used to this, used to the number of doorways, once closed that opened with a pack of her own.
We won't sleep hungry this night, in an instant Sari leaped forward. She fell short of her mark and the buck startled, dart off through the forest. Sari growled her frustration and raced after the buck. It was one of the advantages of being lithle, this buck was fast, but she was faster.
The beast had barely made it 20 meters before Sari had gained on it and she snapped at it's leg, her powerful jaws, crushing the bucks leg. It wasn't enough though, she needed the beta's help.

Alla Verra let out a happy chort. She then shot off into the bushes. She came upon them with grate speed. In her haste, she neraly trampled ehr alpha. She gave her an apologetic look.
She then pounced upon the buck. She lay in between the its antlers and grabbed ahold of its face. She pulled until she felt blood. she then grabbed its neck and pulled.
She felt the jugular pop in her jaws. She swallowed the refreshing liquid pooring from its neck. She the crawled out from its antlers. She went to her alpha and sat by her.
I am sorry for killing it before you had the chance. You may eat first, my dear alphess. she sat back a foot and awaited her to endulge her self. She knew the pack code. The alphas eat before the betas. It was always that way. It will always stay that way.

Sari's eyes traveled over her beta. She was good huntress, and had proved her loyaltly by moving back from the animal, its sweet blood now spilling on the ground. But it should have been her kill, especially seeing as this was their first hunt together.
Sari huffed, knowing she should make it clear that it should have been her kill, especially seeing as this was their first hunt together. However, unable to bring herself to growl a warning at her new pack member, she tore a hunk of flesh from the bucks rump. She didn't want to rule a pack with growls and threats, if Alla Verra knew where she stood, then that was good enough for her.
Knowing there was more meat then they could finish, she gestured to the buck, allowing Alla Verra her turn at the beast. If her own life as a loner was anything to go by, Alla Verra had probably not eaten deer in a long time.

Alla Verra stood. She took a small chunk of the buck and went back to her place. She ate slowly and finished quickly still. She then stood up and went to her alphess.
"I am terribly sorry for killing the buck. Again I apollogize. I only took its life to protect you. You were in a direct striking range for ablow to the head or chest. I only did it to keep my dear alphess safe." she said.
She bowed her head and back away again. She would let Sari eat her fill before her. At this moment she wisked away into the bushes for a drink.
She found a small stream and drank thurstily. She then stood and walked back to her alpha and the kill. She lay down and awaited to eat once more.

ari tore at the beasts body, pulling a hunk of flesh from it, her eyes studing her beta. She was loyal, keen, a good hunter and almost a mind reader. Had Alla Verra seen the annoyance in Sari’s eyes? Is that why she justified herself again? If anything it put Sari’s mind at ease. Alla Verra had risked her own life to save Sari. At the end of the day, who made the kill meant nothing if the beast had killed her.
Warmth replacing the annoyance in her eyes, Sari tossed the still warm meat to beta, before settling by the buck, eating more though she was no longer hungry. Sar knew it would be wiser to stock up now and have a bit to loose come the long winter months, when game would be few.
~*~
Licking her chomps, intent of cleaning off all the blood, she turned to her beta, their bellies full to bursting.
Dusk is approaching, Sari glanced up at the sky, noting the reddish pink tinge on the horizon, We should find a safe place to rest.
(OOC after you’re post I’ll start a new thread in small wood, called ‘The search for dens.’ If that’s alright with you, or if you prefer we can just keep going in this thread)

{{OOC fine by me}}
Alla Verra nodded a thank you to her alphess before digging in. She ate every bit hungrily. When she was finished, she stood and stretched.
Let us go find some shelter. she replied to her.
